ErthDev is looking for a Python Backend Engineer to build APIs, automation, data-facing services, and integrations for client products.
You'll write clear Python that is testable, operable, and ready for real production load.
What you'll do
- Build backend services and APIs in Python.
- Design data models and service boundaries.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and internal systems.
- Implement background jobs, workflows, and automation where needed.
- Write tests and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with data, AI, frontend, and DevOps teammates.
- Optimize performance and observability.
- Participate in design reviews and technical planning.
- Document interfaces and operational behavior.
- Help teams adopt Python practices that scale beyond scripts.

Requirements
What we're looking for
- Strong Python experience in production systems.
- Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask (or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of APIs, async patterns, and databases.
- Familiarity with testing and packaging.
- Good Git and collaboration habits.
- Security-aware development practices.
- Ability to communicate trade-offs clearly.
- Comfortable working across product and engineering contexts.
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery/RQ, Docker, AWS, and data/AI-adjacent services is a plus.
