A CMS project fails when editors can't use it—or when developers can't maintain it.
ErthDev is looking for a WordPress / CMS Developer to build and maintain content platforms that are fast, secure, and operable by client teams.
You'll work on WordPress and related CMS solutions where editorial workflows and long-term maintenance matter.
What you'll do
- Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
- Implement editorial workflows and content structures.
- Integrate CMS sites with APIs, CRMs, and marketing tools.
- Improve performance, security, and update hygiene.
- Migrate content and environments carefully.
- Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams.
- Document setup, handovers, and editor guides.
- Troubleshoot production CMS issues.
- Advise when WordPress is the right tool—and when it is not.
- Support launches and post-launch maintenance.

What we're looking for
- Strong WordPress development experience.
- Solid PHP and theme/plugin customization skills.
- Understanding of CMS security and update practices.
- Experience with custom fields, Gutenberg/block themes, or equivalent.
- Ability to integrate third-party services.
- Clear communication with non-technical editors and stakeholders.
- Attention to performance and accessibility.
- Discipline around maintainable implementations.
Experience with WooCommerce, headless WordPress, ACF, WP-CLI, caching, and staging workflows is a plus.
