ErthDev is looking for a Solution Architect to help turn complex business requirements into practical, secure, and maintainable software architectures.
We work with businesses across industries, which means every project brings different constraints, priorities, and technical challenges.
What you'll do
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture.
- Design scalable and maintainable application architectures.
- Evaluate architectural approaches and technology choices.
- Define system boundaries and integration strategies.
- Design APIs and service interactions.
- Evaluate data storage and data-access strategies.
- Consider security, reliability, performance, scalability, and operational requirements.
- Identify architectural risks and technical trade-offs.
- Produce architecture documentation and decision records.
- Work closely with engineering, product, QA, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders.
- Guide engineers while remaining pragmatic and hands-on when necessary.
- Participate in technical discovery and solution estimation.

We use Architecture Decision Records for significant technical decisions and favor incremental evolution over unnecessary rewrites.

What we're looking for
- Strong software engineering background.
- Significant experience designing production systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and application architecture.
- Strong API and integration design knowledge.
- Strong database fundamentals.
- Understanding of cloud architecture.
- Strong security awareness.
- Ability to reason about scalability, reliability, and operational complexity.
- Excellent technical communication.
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Node.js, Java, Laravel, Nuxt.js, Next.js, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and event-driven architectures is valuable.
